Forrest Place Redevelopment, Perth, Western Australia

Reformation of Forrest Place and formation of links to City Station / Forrest Place Shopping Precinct.

The precinct has unifying and linking pedestrian accesses (covered walkways and overpasses) which provide sheltered routes to the commercial centre, railway station and city carpark. The large, landscaped and paved square with attractive precast elements is a major part of the city's civic life.

St Mary’s Cathedral, Perth WA
This was an AUD20 M redevelopment of the existing 1865/1925 cathedral, to allow the incorporation of a multi-functional basement level and a new, ground level assembly area. Partial demolition of the existing cathedral required the use of complex, permanent retention systems for both the existing foundation and wall elements. The new basement includes in situ, reinforced concrete framing. The new assembly area encompasses the mixed use of structural steelwork and precast concrete. A significant amount of the structural precast concrete is completed to stringent architectural specifications and requirements for finishes.
GPO Redevelopment, Perth, Western Australia
